Day 8: Give Thanks
Day 8: Give Thanks Unto the Lord!
Read and Meditate on: Psalm 107: 1 - 22
I
Thessalonians 5: 18
I don’t
know where you began this journey. Maybe
you are on a spiritual high that you don’t want to end. More likely, you are experiencing
circumstances that have taken you so low that there was nowhere else to turn
but to God. I can relate. I’ve been there.
Your
situation may be the result of your own or other people’s bad choices. Maybe your problems are simply the result of
living in a fallen world. Whatever the
reason, I must remind you that God never promised us a bed of roses, and even
if He did, we all know that roses have thorns.
Jesus said: “In this world you will have trouble…”[1]
The good
news is that we are not alone with these thorns. Just as there was a fourth man in the fire
with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, God is with us during our problems and
hardships. No pity party today! Today is a day to rejoice and give thanks
because God is good! He is faithful, and
He provides peace in every storm. “Give
thanks in all circumstances…”[2]
Adoration:

Thanksgiving:
Supplication:
God, thank You for Your
merciful kindness. You are my
refuge. Thank You for being a good, good
God! Praise Your Holy Name! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
