Day 7 Seek His Forgiveness

Day 7:  Seek His Forgiveness

Read and Meditate on:  Nehemiah 1: 5 - 11

                                          I John 1: 8 – 10

Confession is good, but forgiveness is even better.  When you confess and repent, God is waiting to forgive.  Now that your sins have been laid bare before Him, fall on your face, and seek His forgiveness.  His Word promises that if we confess our sins, He will “…forgive us and purify us from all unrighteousness.”[1]  Because of Christ’s blood, we have the opportunity to attain that absolute moral perfection that He requires.  When we confess, He washes us whiter than snow!

Close the door on the past.  Today is a new day!  Celebrate the fact that your slate has been wiped clean!  Reflect on His goodness and mercy.

Supplication:

Father, forgive me.  You know that my sins are many but thankfully, through the blood of Jesus, You can wash me clean.  Help me to put off the old sinful ways and walk in new life, giving You the praise and glory.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
