Day 10: Pray with Conviction
Day 10: Pray with Conviction
Read and Meditate on: Mark 11: 15 – 12: 12
Psalm
145: 18 – 19
Mark
9: 24
Today
your journey becomes one step deeper as you learn to pray with conviction. It is not enough to believe that Jesus is the
Christ – even Satan believes. You must
act on your convictions. Christ taught
His disciples that if they prayed with conviction rather than doubt, they could
move mountains.
We must
pray, believing that He hears and that He answers. I John 5 tells us that this is true. Unfortunately, our human nature is to doubt
what we cannot prove. Don’t succumb to
those doubts. Like the father in Mark 9,
perhaps we must begin with a prayer: “Help me overcome my unbelief”.[1]
Doubts
are normal in a fallen world. If you
allow those doubts to control you, then you will be powerless to move an ant
hill much less a mountain. You have
found the courage to begin this journey.
Drop all the unnecessary baggage, including your doubts. Pray with conviction, confident that He is
faithful who promised!

Supplication:
Father, I believe that
You sent Your Son to die for my sins.
Help me to stand firm on that conviction. I trust You in all things. Help me to trust You more. Remove all my doubts and help me to be bold
for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“Prayer is the greatest
use of my words.” Rick Warren
